konnekt joins the Australia East Africa Chamber of Commerce

konnekt has become a member of the Australia East Africa Chamber of Commerce ↗ (AEACC), the non-profit membership organisation that promotes trade, investment and economic cooperation between Australia and the countries of East Africa.

konnekt is a fast-scaling fibre-to-the-home ISP and digital services platform in Nairobi. We serve mass-market, low-income households in high-density urban neighbourhoods with unlimited broadband at a fraction of incumbent prices, without subsidies. Our mission is to make high-quality internet affordable and to deliver digital services that improve the lives and livelihoods of first-time digital users.

A natural bridge between Australia and Africa

konnekt was founded and is led by Australian Founder and CEO Shaun Morgan, who has spent more than a decade building digital infrastructure and fintech businesses in Kenya. Joining the AEACC formalises a bridge we have always had: between the operators, builders and investors of Australia and the fastest-growing connectivity markets in East Africa.

Through the Chamber, we want to connect with:

• Australian telecoms operators and fibre builders interested in how mass-market home broadband can be designed, built and run profitably in African cities.
• Technology partners in network equipment, software, payments and content who want to reach first-time digital users.
• Impact-minded investors looking for a commercially viable route to digital inclusion at scale.
